Works great for beach or backyard! Sturdy and well made.

So far so good with these. We actually filled them with water because we didn't have any sand on hand and also because I like the idea of being able to dump the water out at the end of the season and store them much easier. The water was very easy to put in and they hold the umbrella up��I'm not worried about it falling over.

Researched these and I felt this was the best value at the time of my purchase. Well designed for the type of stands most often used with a typical offset patio umbrella although it does not have the best weight capacity of all the umbrella stands I saw. I think, the heavier the better when it comes to wind resistance but I felt this had very good capacity and construction features for the money. I get some windy days during the year, but when it gets very windy, I am likely to retract the umbrella and cover it. For me, this stand is perfectly adequate and an excellent value to use with a relatively small offset umbrella.
