    UPDATE: initially this was the perfect item... then we started to have issues opening it. It was too childproof. I have messed up my wrist. The gate stopped opening so we would climb over it. Then my godzilla son managed to rattle and shake it off and as the gate is falling, he steps and breaks the rods. So now its in the dumpster. It was a great product and did exactly what it was supposed to, we maybe got a defective gate. I still recommend.
    It is similar to the gate I am replacing. The installation wasn't as easy, you have to twist the knob/bumper to push up against the wall/doorway and it was such a pain in the finger. But overall the rest was great, directions are clear and precise, I am going to order another one.
    I am yet to see how sturdy it is. My son is super strong and tends to break everything. I WILL UPDATE if it doesn't live up to expectations.
