    Just like to old days.

    Better than stained plywood, the finish is beautiful. The fifth leg adds stability and sturdiness. Not as tall as you may think so be sure this is what you want. Not unlike a console stereo in the home I grew up in (back in the last century). Overall design is great for cable box, DVD player, etc. with well placed openings behind shelf. Be aware: The directions are visual only (no words) so take your time and find some patience especially if you don't have experience with assembling furniture from a box. Overall great design and easy to assemble.
